Dedication

Well we finally did it. We had both Isaac and Caleb dedicated at church today. It was such a nice service and a wonderful day for our family. We have truly been blessed. It is so much fun listening to the Pastor talk about our story and how he remembers how much we were praying and hoping for a baby, and now we have TWO. Definitely not something we ever thought would happen, but it has been wonderful (aside from the two of them crying at the same time and Mommy almost pulling her hair out :-) )

The boys looked absolutely adorable in their outfits. I cannot get Isaac to sit still for anything anymore, especially not a picture so we just have to wait until he's back into pictures again. In the meantime we will enjoy capturing Caleb's personality!

Cereal time

Well the doctor said we could try Caleb on cereal now. He's taking in about 40 0z. of formula a day (yes he's a big eater). He's holding his head up quite steadily and is very alert so he believes he's ready. He's had it 3 nights so far. Although it hasn't helped him sleep through the night yet, it is helping. He's been making it to 4:30 or 5:00 and I think he would go longer if he had shades in his room. We got new windows and they aren't quite finished so the shades are down right now. Caleb isn't sure about the texture of the cereal yet, but Isaac was the same way. Here's a short video.

Caleb is 4 months old now!

I can't believe he's 4 months already. It's amazing how fast time is flying now. Caleb is a really good baby. We're still working on sleeping through the night. He had started doing it a month ago or more but he seems to get pretty hungry in the night. The doctor okayed us to start cereal since he's drinking so much formula during the day and he is holding his head up really well and very alert. Hopefully he'll start sleeping through the night very soon. At least he only gets up once, that we can handle.

Caleb is now 15 lbs 3 oz and 26 inches long. He is in the 90th percentile for length and 50th for weight. I compared measurements with Isaac at this age and Caleb is 1 lb bigger and 1 inch longer. I'm afraid we're going to have to transition Caleb to the convertible carseat soon. The maximum length for the infant carrier is 26 inches and he's so heavy to carry in it.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN LOVE ISAAC & CALEB

Well we didn't take them trick or treating or anything. I found 2 cute costumes at the consignment shop and had to get them so that I could get a couple pictures. Maybe next year we'll go around to all the businesses. The boys weren't even at daycare on Halloween. They spent the day with Mommy and Grandma. Of course the boys were wearing their Halloween shirts! Isaac's was one that had lights and he was pretty impressed with it. Anyway, here is the cutest little Giraffe and Tigger I've ever seen!
