HAPPILY MARRIED

Ross and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary yesterday. I honestly cannot believe it has been 5 years. Time has just flown by. What is even scarier is that we have been together for almost 8 years. Wow. It's funny to think that a year ago we it was the two of us hoping and praying for a baby and now we have two wonderful little boys! To celebrate our anniversary we had Grandma Janelle and Grandpa Roger come over and watch the boys while we went to Sioux Falls. We were able to do a little shopping, we went out to eat at Applebees and we even caught a movie. We hadn't been out in a long time. I think the last time was when I was about 37 weeks pregnant and we had Isaac with us. It was great to be able to spend some time with each other and we really enjoyed the evening. Hopefully we can do this every so often. It was weird not having a child on my hip but a great break I really needed.

Today my parents came over and we went out to dinner with them and Roger and Janelle. It was a good time. Isaac is so good when we go out to eat. He sits in his high chair so well. He's starting to eat a lot more table food so it's a good experience for him.

Today I dressed the boys in overalls and tried to get pictures of them together. It's a little difficult when Isaac wants to clobber Caleb. Of course I do believe Caleb will get him back one day! My mom also took some family pictures like we did with Isaac before Caleb was born. I must say I look better without a huge belly!!!!

10 months and 7 weeks

The boys are growing fast!!! I can't believe in 2 short months Isaac will be 1 year old. It's amazing how fast time has flown by. Isaac is not walking yet but he is standing alone for a little bit longer every day. We're going to have to try and find some sort of baby gate to put between the dining room and living room. Isaac is on the go constantly. I started back to work on Monday and I work 4 days a week. It is going good and I enjoy my new schedule. The boys are doing good at daycare. Isaac does not nap very much at daycare because he is just too busy so his bedtime has moved up to 8:30. At least he's still a happy baby even though he's tired! The nights go way too fast when I don't get home until 5:30.

Caleb is 7 weeks old already. He's growing so much. I bet he's nearing 11 lbs by now. He has a chubby little face but he's still pretty thin because he's getting longer all the time!!! I'm not sure how much longer he'll be in 0-3 month clothing because of his length.

I tried to get Isaac's monthly pictures but it took 2 days. He's on the go and doesn't want to sit still. Oh well I got some good ones!!!!

Weekend fun

This weekend we had the chance to meet my new nephew Bjorn Everett. He was born on August 4th so he is about 4 1/2 weeks younger than Caleb. He's quite a bit smaller. Caleb was born at 8 lbs 3 oz. and Bjorn was born at 6 lbs 10 oz. It's going to be so neat having a cousin so close to Caleb's age and then Isaac isn't too far ahead of them either so I am sure the 3 of them will have loads of fun. Not to mention that Bjorn's big sister Norah will be the leader of the pack!!!

Here's a few pictures from the weekend!

Picture time!

The boys are growing so fast. Isaac is 9 1/2 months, crawling, pulling himself up, getting into everything, he's such a big boy! He got to go in his pool for the first time this weekend and had a blast! Caleb is about 10 lbs already and eating well. He sleeps about 4-5 hour stretches at night which is nice. Hopefully soon we'll go to one feeding at night. I did have to take him to the doctor last week. He has a mild case of eczema. It's on his face, neck, shoulders and chest. Right now we're just trying to keep his skin hydrated and see if it gets better. If not we'll have to take him back in and get some cream of some sort.

Isaac giving kisses

At least that appears to be what he is going to do. Although if I hadn't picked him up he probably would have tried pulling Caleb's hair or hitting him. And he's only 9 1/2 months!!!

I still think it's a cute pic!

DON'T TELL DADDY!

Isaac was a little trouble maker this morning. He is a handful now but so much fun!!!! I am constantly chasing after him and getting him out of things he shouldn't be in. We really need a baby gate about now!!! Ross has a gigantic stack of newspapers and magazines under our end table. Of course Ross has to get every free magazine that is offered even though he doesn't have time to read any. So needless to say the stack is quite high. Isaac helped himself this morning. First he knocked over half the stack and then he grabbed one of the magazines and decided to take it apart. After getting him out of the newspapers I was putting Caleb down and Isaac was quiet. I came into the dining room and there he was dumping Sam's bowl of water on himself and the floor and laughing!!! He gave me a look like "Hi Mom this is fun" so I just grabbed the camera!

Here's our troublemaker!

Look what I found!

I left the room for a couple minutes and this is what I found when I came back. I think I came back just in time because he got awfully close to his brother and was probably thinking about taking a big whack at him!!!! He's too young to understand "be nice to the baby". It's cute to watch him interact with Caleb though. The other night I got some video of him giving Caleb kisses. In case you were wondering, Isaac started pulling himself up two days after he started crawling. He's keeping me on my toes and into EVERYTHING!!!

Here are a few more pictures I took of Caleb the other day!

Caleb is 1 month old!

I can't believe my baby is 1 month already. Where has the time gone. Still feels just like yesterday that I was giving birth to him. Caleb is doing well. He eats about every 3 hours during the day and at night he has been going 4-5 hours which is very nice for Mom and Dad. We were a bit worried in the beginning because he was so fussy. We think he has a touch of colic due to the formula. We have stopped nursing and have gone to Similac Advance which seems to be upsetting his tummy. We went to the doctor yesterday for a check up and we are now supposed to get Similac Low Iron. Apparently this is a formula not found very often. It's not even at Walmart. I hope we this formula is always available to us at the grocery store as that is where I found it.

Caleb is now 9 lbs 8 oz. and 22 3/4 inches long. He is in the 50th percentile for both. We go back in 1 month for another check up. I took some pictures this morning. You will notice Caleb is suffering from a touch of baby acne!
