I hope spring is almost here!

It's been a very LONG winter for our household. This Mom is tired!!! From sinus infections, croup, bronchitis, 3 ear infections in one child, 1 ear infection in another, I think we're about due for a break.

Last weekend the boys and I made the trip over to my parents for the day and we were able to see Aunt Michelle, cousins Daryan, Kim, Emily, Norah and Bjorn. It was good to see them. It had been just about 3 months since we had seen Daryan and 2 months since seeing Norah and Bjorn.

Bjorn is about 5 1/2 weeks younger than Caleb. It's so much fun to see how they compare in size. Caleb is heavier but I think they're about the same in length right now. Caleb will go back for his 9 month check up in a few weeks.

Today the weather was great, got up to 60 or so. We took the boys for a wagon ride outside and they loved in. In fact, Isaac did not want to come back in. I can't wait until it's nice enough to take them outside every night after work. I think Isaac is entering the early stages of the "Terrible Two's" so some nights are very trying with 2 little ones that want Mommy all to themselves and are hungry and tired not to mention Mommy tired from a full day of work and Daddy still outside working!!!!!!!! God is humorous though isn't He?

8 month photos

Caleb will be 8 months old on Monday so I took some pictures of him this weekend. It's pretty easy to photograph him as he's always smiling and he's not mobile yet so that always helps. I can't wait until it's warm enough to do pictures outside. Caleb is becoming a big boy. He's starting to do better with the sippy cup. He's eating his solids so much better now. Hopefully I can make some of our own baby food at least for home so we can save on costs. Baby food is EXPENSIVE!!!

I'll be very anxious to see what Caleb's measurements are at his 9 month check up, I can't wait to see what the difference is between the boys and what Isaac was at 9 months. I know Caleb is bigger in weight but I don't know about height.

Onto the photos....

Trying to stay healthy

My goal was to stay out of the doctor's office as long as possible but it just isn't working. I thought Caleb was going to be my healthy child but I'm now thinking Isaac is doing much better and it's Caleb that's always sick. I'm sure the infant room at daycare doesn't help but still. Since the middle of December Caleb has come down with croup, stomach flu, left ear infection, bronchitis, and right ear infection. I won't be surprised if he ends up with tubes someday. I'm just thankful he's such a laid back baby and doesn't complain much. It's actually pretty hard to figure out the ear infections because he doesn't really complain at all. He usually gets a fever or throws up more and doesn't take the bottle but that's about it. After almost a week of that I took him back this week and sure enough, another ear infection, it was just a month since his last one. Isaac seems to be doing pretty good and hasn't had a sinus infection since January (knock on wood).

I can't believe Isaac is 16 months old already and Caleb will soon be 8 months. Caleb is my laid back baby so I am not looking for him to be mobile anytime soon. I think he's going to take after me. Why rush when Mom can hold and carry him everywhere.

First time swimming!

Isaac and Caleb had their first "real" experience in a big pool. Ross' parents have a time share at Village West so on Sunday the boys, Ross and I went over there and joined them along with Ross' sister Gina, her husband Brad and little boy Caden. It was a good time. Caleb loved the water from the beginning. He didn't really act like he even noticed at first. He really started splashing once we went out into the deep end. Isaac was scared at first, but once he got used to it he was splashing and kicking all over the place. Both boys had a ball in the water. I must say I enjoyed it too!

Cousin Caden!

The curls are gone

About a week ago I finally took Isaac in for another haircut. He had his first haircut a couple weeks before he turned 1, but at that point I couldn't part with his little curls in the back. Now he had a full "big boy" haircut and he looks so different. He looks so much older but I think it really brings out his blue eyes. Here's a few pictures of him and a couple with Caleb too.

Isaac and Caleb would like to wish everyone a very Happy Valentine's Day...

Is it so...7 months already?

I can't believe it!!!!! My boys are just growing by the day. 7 months ago I gave birth to our 2nd son. I still remember like it was yesterday. Although I miss some of the pregnancy days (note I said "some") and when he was so small and tiny...BUT there are so many things that I am loving right now. 7 months is a fun age, I thought so with Isaac too. Caleb is sitting by himself 100% now (other than when his brother pushes him over). He's a champ though, he puts up with a lot of beating on now...we keep telling Isaac he better watch it because it won't be long and Caleb will be beating on him. Caleb was 17 lbs 11 oz. at his 6 month check up. I do believe he's nearing 20 lbs by now.

Poor little guy had a rough couple of weeks fighting off bronchitis. It's been about 10 days now and he's finally getting his personality back, smiles and giggles. We were worried for a while, but thankfully we took him in when we did.

Here's some pictures I took recently of our growing boy.

A few pictures and a video!

The boys are growing and changing a lot. Caleb is now sitting by himself and rolling from tummy to back. He's almost got the back to tummy figured out but not quite there. Isaac is jabbering more and more everyday. He loves to show us how big he is, plays pattycake by clapping and rolling his arms. He waves, stomps his feet, does ring around the rosey, he says "Mama" "Dada" "uh oh" and "more". We're pretty sure he says "bye bye" as well but it sounds more like "gye gye". He's starting to really climb up on things. He climbed up into his highchair at Grandma K's house.

Isaac has been fairly healthy other than the sinus infections that keep hitting him. Caleb has been sick this last month. First it was an ear infection and then he got bronchitis immediately after finishing his medication. The doctor was almost positive he had RSV but thankfully he tested negative. However we do have to give him nebulizer treatments every 4 hours on top of 2 other medications. I had to make a call into the doctor today and now they're sending in a prescription for some cough medicine for Caleb. Poor baby just can't shake this cough.

Anyway, onto the pictures.

Isaac tackling Caleb, this is usually how it is, but it won't be long and Caleb will be doing the tackling!

We've had Isaac's haircut once, but just the bangs so a big boy haircut is calling his name.

Caleb and Isaac- the look says it all

I love these outfits on them. Isaac seems to becoming more and more attached to his plug.
